# Securities Underwriter

Securities underwriters administer the distribution activities of new securities from a business company. They work in close connection with the issuing body of the securities in order to establish the price and buys and sells them to other investors. They receive underwriting fees from their issuing clients.

## Core workflow

1. Document security transactions, such as purchases, sales, conversions, redemptions, or payments, using computers, accounting ledgers, or certificate records.
2. Perform clerical tasks, such as answering phones or distributing mail.
3. Correspond with customers and confer with coworkers to answer inquiries, discuss market fluctuations, or resolve account problems.
4. Prepare forms, such as receipts, withdrawal orders, transmittal papers, or transfer confirmations, based on transaction requests from stockholders.
5. File, type, or operate standard office machines.
