Inspiration und EntwurfBei der Planung von neuen Entwürfen achten Schmuckdesigner/innen auf aktuelle (Design)Trends, beziehen aber auch wirtschaftliche Überlegungen ein. Ihre Inspirationen holen sie sich beispielsweise aus dem eigenen Lebensumfeld, aus der Natur, der Architektur, aus Eindrücken von Reisen, von Messen oder aus der Auseinandersetzung mit Kunstwerken. Von den ersten Ideen und Skizzen geht es dann zum konkreten Entwurf, der sowohl von Hand als auch am Computer entstehen kann: Form, Proportionen, Volumen und Plastizität des zu erstellenden Schmuckstückes oder Gegenstands werden genau festgehalten und ggf. variiert. Die Entwürfe präsentieren Schmuckdesigner/innen dann den Kunden, Auftraggebern oder Vorgesetzten und arbeiten ggf. Änderungswünsche ein.
