Statistical Assistant

Statistical assistants collect data and use statistical formulas to execute statistical studies and create reports. They create charts, graphs and surveys.

Core workflow

  1. Compute and analyze data, using statistical formulas and computers or calculators.
  2. Enter data into computers for use in analyses or reports.
  3. Compile statistics from source materials, such as production or sales records, quality-control or test records, time sheets, or survey sheets.
  4. Compile reports, charts, or graphs that describe and interpret findings of analyses.
  5. Check source data to verify completeness and accuracy.
  6. Participate in the publication of data or information.
  7. File data and related information, and maintain and update databases.
  8. Organize paperwork, such as survey forms or reports, for distribution or analysis.
