# Animal Hydrotherapist
|
||
|
||
Animal hydrotherapists provide a therapeutic treatment following veterinary diagnosis or referral. They concentrate on use of water-resistance to treat conditions, assist post-operative recovery, give pre-operative exercises and enhance general fitness in accordance with national legislation.
|
||
|
||
## Core workflow
|
||
|
||
1. Advise animal owners regarding sanitary measures, feeding, general care, medical conditions, or treatment options.
|
||
2. Attend lectures, conferences, or continuing education courses.
|
||
3. Perform administrative or business management tasks, such as scheduling appointments, accepting payments from clients, budgeting, or maintaining business records.
|
||
4. Counsel clients about the deaths of their pets or about euthanasia decisions for their pets.
|
||
5. Examine animals to detect and determine the nature of diseases or injuries.
|
||
6. Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds, or performing surgery.
|
||
7. Inoculate animals against various diseases, such as rabies or distemper.
|
||
8. Collect body tissue, feces, blood, urine, or other body fluids for examination and analysis.

||
