# Audiology Technician
Audiology technicians create and service hearing aids and hearing protection products. They dispense, fit and provide hearing aids for those who need them.
## Core workflow
1. Read prescriptions or specifications and examine models or impressions to determine the design of dental products to be constructed.
2. Fabricate, alter, or repair dental devices, such as dentures, crowns, bridges, inlays, or appliances for straightening teeth.
3. Test appliances for conformance to specifications and accuracy of occlusion, using articulators and micrometers.
4. Place tooth models on an apparatus that mimics bite and movement of patient's jaw to evaluate functionality of model.
5. Melt metals or mix plaster, porcelain, or acrylic pastes and pour materials into molds or over frameworks to form dental prostheses or apparatuses.
6. Remove excess metal or porcelain and polish surfaces of prostheses or frameworks, using polishing machines.
7. Train or supervise other dental technicians or dental laboratory bench workers.

# External AI agent skills — audiology-technician
Proven, publicly available AI agent skills mapped to this occupation.
Nothing is copied from the sources: every entry is a name, a one-line
summary and a link to the upstream skill package. Each section names
its source repository, commit, license and retrieval date.
**Tiers:** `core` = the skill directly exercises a top market hard
skill, tool or method (from gated job-ad evidence) or an essential
ESCO competence of this occupation; `adjacent` =
plausibly useful, secondary. Entries are capped at 12 per source
and 80 in total per occupation (core first,
strongest matches survive); everything beyond the caps is excluded
and logged in the pipeline audit trail, not in this package.
_Matched deterministically (ISCO group + title/competence keywords,
tiered against market evidence + ESCO essentials) by
`pipeline/p5_enrich_ai_skills.py` on 2026-07-14._
